11/13/2023 0 Comments Obs studio window capture black screen![]() Running 64bit in admin mode, seems good so far for me. I had star citizen running when I noticed it was black, and the Window set to star citizen from a previous session before doing these 3 steps and it fixed my prob instantly.Įdit: This only worked thrice. After you relaunch, try to set the window to the game. Before shutting down OBS, make sure that you double LMB click the "Game Capture" source, and in the "Window" drop down set it to the top, blank slot. (Note that I deleted all user preferences from previous OBS installs before installing OBS-Studio-0.13.2-Installer with admin privs.) I think I may have found a different bandaid fix that may work for some people (those who had it running perfect after install but black thereafter). Ive looked online and tried every fix i could find and none work. The audio picks up however the screen is always black. I just switched over from slobs to obs and it was working fine on the first day, since then my game capture has worked 2 times out of the hundreds of times ive tried. So I can basically uninstall/reinstall OBS every for each stream/capture session. Game Capture is black and Ive tried everything online. 2 for 2 Having OBS launch directly from the installer it'd work every time. One time I tried adding 2 game captures inputs for the same game, and then adjusting the priority (order in the list) and deleting one of them (the old one, I think), and that fixed it. I've tried running the OBS 64bit (with/without admin privs), enable/disable anti-cheat hooks, among others. I then installed OBS on my desktop and it would record my desktop. ![]() The fps seems sluggish so I'd rather stick to DX (I think). I read how-tos on if you disable Aero on Windows it would but I tried that and still nothing. Switching to OpenGL worked for some games, though. I looked around and tried a few things that seemed would apply to me, but they didn't work. ![]() However, the changes also mean that displays will no longer potentially switch if anything has been unplugged or changed. I know there are many threads about this posted as of late. Note for Windows Users: Due to changes to how Display Capture on Windows identifies and saves monitors you will need to re-select your display for any existing capture sources.
